Beaver Creek, Day 1

We had a BLAST on our family trip to Beaver Creek, Colorado! I've been planning in my head what I was going to say about our trip for about the last week and just haven't been able to figure it all out. I want to tell you EVERYTHING, but not bore you to death. I have SO many pictures and videos and just don't know where to start! I finally decided today that it was time to jump into it!

I will break it down into the days, as much as I can..... We will just see how it goes!

Day 1: Sunday the 14th of March
We left Temple around 1:30ish all pack up and ready to go. We began the caravan to Hillsboro, HB and Lynnsay in the red truck with mom and dad.... and Austin and I in Austin's truck and then the Dawkins in the Tahoe. We had to stop in Hillboro to meet Mr. Brent and Tyler to drop off Austin's truck and then we hopped into the Tahoe with the Dawkins. We continued the drive to the Dallas airpot. Once we arrived it got a little crazy! Mom was trying to switch some of the seats so more of us could be together... and they just kept sending us to different places and it was just out of control! FINALLY we got to go through security and head to the gate. We get on the plane and head to COLORADO! It was slightly colder when we got there.... hah of course! We had to walk down steps off the plane and into the airport, since that airport was so small! We were getting a private shuttle from the airport to our house in Beaver Creek and it was about a 45 minute drive. We stopped at the grocery store to get beer and some food for lunches and such. We finally got to our house and it was GORGEOUS! It was huge which was great because there was 10 of us.... It broke it down perfect for us too. On the main level was the kitchen, master bedroom, living room and garage..... upstairs were two bedrooms, one for us, and one for HB and Lynnsay..... downstairs had a little common area, washer and dryer, and two bedrooms.. one for the kids and one for Jordan and Justin..... Oh and the HOT TUB was downstairs as well!

Soon after getting there, we unpacked and went to bed! We had to prepare for the long next day for SKIING!

Side Notes:
We decided before we left that each night, someone different would cook dinner that night. Night 1: mom and dad made hamburgers. Night 2: Austin and I made Taco Soup. Night 3: HB and Lynnsay made lasagna. Night 4: Jordan and Justin made tacos and tostadas.

We also all took games, but we ended up only playing two. The game we took which was Things... and some played dominos.

The Farm.... AKA Paradise

We LOVE to be out at the farm and you can get the most gorgeous pictures there! We have longhorns and they are so fun and pretty. I just can't get enough of them!

Colby's 1st Birthday Party

We had SOO much fun at Colby's Birthday Party! It is still hard to believe he is already ONE!!! Mimsy and Mary Beth planned a bug birthday party and it was perfect! They thought of EVERYTHING! Bugs on the cupcakes, bugs in the drinks..... too cute!

I will not be posting anything new probably until Tuesday the 23rd of this month..... It is Spring Break time and we will be SKIING in Beaver Creek Colorado until Friday and then at the LAKE in Whitney until Monday......

I FINALLY got to meet the newest addition to the Dawkins family... Miss Cali Mae! She is a maltipoo and the parents are their other dog Cash and Lynnsay's dog. She is the cutest thing in the WORLD.. ok minus Mia... she wins hands down! DUH! Anyways..... here are a few pictures, but remember, they don't do her justice....

Beaver Creek, HERE WE COME!!!!

The Ranch

Well, we had a GREAT weekend at the ranch this past weekend..... I can't believe it's already Wednesday! Anyways, we arrived at the ranch house Friday night late, and of course we were the last ones to arrive. A couple of men, Travis and Uncle Doug, were full of cough medicine and didn't remember us getting there that night..... pretty funny! It was a pretty uneventful night. Saturday, we all woke up on our own.... I got to wake up with Colby Lee!!! We played the morning away! We ate breakfast and the boys headed to the ranch. The girls, most of them, had nap time. I stayed awake with Auntie Marilyn and played again with Colby. Since we had such a big breakfast, we all decided to skip lunch. Mary Beth decided around 1 that she was hungry and made some of her specialty, mac and cheese. I was SOOOO happy that she did. I was pretty hungry myself. The boys finally showed back up around 2 or so and we relaxed the day away. Around 5is we popped in a DVD I had found at the ranch house. It was named Fun Times in 1989. It was from when were were little and it was pretty funny to watch. We had some visitors around 5:30. Aunt Vivian and Suann came to see Mamaw for her birthday. They were on their way to church. Around 5:45 Aunt Jeanice came over to spend some time with us! We had a birthday dinner for Mamaw around 6 and after dinner it was birthday cake time!!! We sang Happy Birthday to Mamaw and after singing we clapped.... Colby didn't like the clapping and started to scream and cry. It was cute, but we all felt bad! We spend the rest of the night watching the Olympics. Then on Sunday, we got up early, ate breakfast, and everyone was on their way home!!!!

It was a GREAT weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Snow Day 2010

I cannot believe how much it snowed yesterday!!!! It was so much fun. Mia and I played in it all day long... And I have all the pictures to prove it. I won't share them all, you would be so bored. They are all on FACEBOOK though if you are dying to see how much fun I had!! Here ya go, ENJOY!!!!
