We Love Carol!

Our sweet, family friend Carol came through town on Friday. We don't get to see her very often, but it is always so good to see her! She was so excited to see Miss Macey and definitely didn't take any time before holding her. We love you Carol!! Hope to see you again soon!

Carol gave these two dresses to Macey. They were her and her sister's dresses and she wanted to keep them in our family. She was so sweet to think of Macey and I cannot wait to try them on her. She is so tiny they may be huge, but precious no doubt! Thanks Carol!

Dinner at my place

Everyone had been calling me throughout the week that they wanted to come see Macey, so the way to get it all done?? Plan a dinner for everyone to come over!!! Mamaw and Papaw were still in town so they came.... Jayci and Jordan had been sick but were better at the beginning of the week so the Dawkins came.... And of course she loves HB and Loopy so they came, and of course Dee Dee and Toddy couldn't resist, so they came! It was a full house and so much fun! I made Taco Soup in the crockpot and boy was it delicious!!!!! I think everyone had fun, and Macey was an angel!

Macey Loves Mamaw

My grandparents were in town and wanted to come visit Macey. They came over for about 30 minutes on Wednesday morning. When they arrived Macey was in her bouncer. They both got down on their knees and were just staring at Macey. She smiled TWICE for them! She obviously loves them so much! Then Mamaw sat and held her and they just loved on her!! So glad that they are getting to spend so much time together since they live so far away now!!! Love you Mamaw and Papaw!

Lynnsay has been giving me a crash course on how to work my way too fancy camera! I have had so much fun playing around and trying different things when I take pictures. And now that I told you that, all of these in this post were pre camera lesson from Lynnsay. I just wanted to let you know that I am getting better at this whole picture/camera thing! Might I also add that I love my little family of four :)

More Tummy Time

We tried tummy time again the other day. I think it went a little better! Less pictures of her crying, that's for sure!!! I tried put a video at the end and it didn't work and tried again and it still won't work, so sorry!! It was super cute thought!

One month and counting....

I cannot believe my baby is already a month old!!! I will probably say that every time I tell anyone how old she is! Unbelievable.... Here are some pictures of what we have been up to!!!

Merry Early Christmas

I got my first Christmas present today!!!!!! Austin bought me a new camera!!!! I cannot wait to upload all the wonderful pictures I take with it! I have already taken quite a few but haven't put them on my computer yet! I am so excited to take wonderful, professional looking pictures of Macey! She is such a beautiful subject. Keep.checking back for clean, crisp pictures :)

The crib

Well.. we gave it a shot. She was not a big fan of sleeping in her crib like a big girl!!! She has been sleeping in the guest bedroom with me. She did good the first night. She slept in her crib for about 4 hours! We tried it again the next night and wouldn't go to sleep! And then we haven't tried again. I think she loves sleeping with her mommy!!! And I don't mind. She just isn't ready for being a big girl!!!

While on that note, I have started a bad habit. I have been staying up until Macey's second night feeding which is around 2ish. Last night Macey was fighting her sleep so we didn't go to sleep until around 5am!!!! But on the upside, we sleep till around 12. Not quite the schedule I wanted to start, but it works for us! Maybe I can try and do better sleeping schedule. I'll keep you updated!

Happy One Month :)

Macey Kyle is one month old today! Cannot belive it has been that long! Feels like just yesterday!

Macey is still as cute as a bug in a rug, and getting more precious by the day! She is starting to stay awake longer during the day (and going through a fussy phase from 10pm to 2am) and starting to make cooing noises! It is the cutest thing ever!

She is so small and still wearing mostly newborn stuff... diapers and clothes. She does wear some 0-3 month outfits and 3 month outfits, but mostly newborn is the stuff that fits her best. I tried to weigh her on my scale and I think she weighs about 8lbs now. Growing girl for sure!!!! She still has a head full of hair. Eats 5-6 times a day and sleeps about 5-6 hours uninterupted in the mornings.

I would think of more things to say, but she just woke up and is screaming at me :)

Merry Christmas.... almost!

It is definitely looking like Christmas these days. From looking at the pictures, I am sure you will agree! I love this time of year! We even had the fire going yesterday.
