BLORA with the family!

We decided as a family we would all go see the lights out at BLORA in Belton/Ft. Hood. I don't think it will become an annual thing with everyone, but maybe Austin and I can make it a tradition if we are still around here. It will be more fun when Macey is older and can look and enjoy the lights!!! I thought it was a good time though!!! It was FREEZING outside but part of the crew braved it anyway in the back of dad's truck. Austin, dad, me and Lynnsay (and Macey of course) sat inside the truck. I think both halves had a great time!!!

Doug and Elyse visit Temple

Wednesday night, December 21st, we had a dinner at the Streater's to have a small christmas with Doug and Elyse. They both were in town, so we took advantage to see them all and celebrate. We had lasagna and the sides with cake and ice cream for dessert. Colby, Jackson and Jayci got to open some presents after dinner.

Christmas a the Brent's

We had a great time in Whitney! It is just so relaxing! After all there were only six adults(Polly, Jack, Tyler, Dennis, Austin, and Me), one baby(Macey), and three dogs (Spanky, Mia, and Arthos). We had some friends pay us a visit too!! It was our friends who used to live in Spring. They now live in Missori and I HOPE they come back to Texas soon so we can hang out more. We had a wonderful Christmas with the Brent's!!!Cannot wait until next year! Macey will be a little more into presents then! Merry Merry Christmas!

Macey Photoshoot!

About a week ago, we were doing tummy time and it turned into a photoshoot! She is just too cute to not take pictures! It started out with her showing off how she can hold her head high in her animal print sleeper! And the blanket both of these photoshoots occured on was a shower present from Mamaw! So soft to lay on for tummy time....

This next group of photos was the Sunday after spending Christmas with the Brents in Whitney. We headed down on Saturday after Austin got off work. He came home and we finished getting packed and ready to leave. We ended up leaving late and then getting there around 11. We had church the next morning so we didn't stay up too late playing with Macey. On Sunday, we went to church and got to hear Momaw sing with the chior. It was beautiful. After church we headed home to have Christmas dinner. Uncle Dennis, Jack's brother, joined us for lunch and opening presents! After lounging around a little, we packed up and headed back home to Temple. We were again having tummy time and she was so happy, so it turned into another photoshoot. The outfit she is wearing was a present from a girl I met at A&M. She was one of my sorority sisters! Macey looks so cute in it, I just couldn't resist taking tons of pictures!!

Christmas Time

Christmas has seemed to sneak up on me this year(as usual); guess I have other things on my mind!! I have frantically and last minute ordered the last of my presents and HOPE they come in before Christmas Day (fingers crossed :)) It has been quite busy here and I have a few pictures to share.

Thursday, Nov. 15th, we had planned to go to Rotary Christmas with my parents and Jayci and Jackson. Uncle B was there too!!!! Austin and I wanted to take Macey to see Santa at the mall. Since he wouldn't be off until next week, I decided to get mom to take us to see him before the schools let out for Christmas Break. I knew the mall would be SLAMMED! So before headed to Wildflower to see Santa, we headed to the mall! She was great and loved taking her picture with Santa! I wonder what she told him she wanted :)

Well, like I said, Christmas is quickly approaching! We are headed to Whitney tomorrow night to celebrate Christmas with Austin's family. I cannot wait to get the HOLIDAY started!!! More post to follow! Hopefully I can keep up with the holiday and not get behind!!! Guess we shall see :)

Merry Christmas to EVERYONE!

Hardest thing so far as a mom....

The hardest thing I have encountered as a mommy is the fear that my baby isn't getting enough to eat.... Breaks my heart.

We had a slight incident with Macey.. which I don't want to talk about, but if you know me, you already know... and since then every time I try to feed her she latches on for a little bit, then lets go and SCREAMS! After that she will either not latch back on at all or get back on but get off and scream not much longer. It just kills me because I feel like there is nothing I can do!

So.. this has been going on for a couple weeks now and I just don't know what else to do. I have been pumping as much as I can but I don't get a lot when I do and I didn't have any stored up therefore again, I just felt like she wasn't getting enough to eat. So as much as we didn't want to, we started on formula tonight. My plan is to pump and feed her one bottle in the morning and one at night then do formula bottles the rest of the day/night. I hope this plan works and our little girl eats more!

I think also this is why she is fussy all day. I am lucky if I get 30 minutes of her sleeping during the day so I think it was partnering with the not eating enought. I will keep you updated on if this gets any better with the formula!!!

TBC

Macey had her first church experience and must I add that she was the BEST baby in church! She didn't even make a peep! Mom LOVED showing her off to all their friends and I know she loved being shown around. She would LOVE to be at TBC this week too because her cousins will be singing, but we are headed to a different church(in Whitney) to watch her Momaw sing for her Cantata. I hope she is just as good.

Our morning started with a bath. We woke up around 7am to make sure we got everything done before leaving the house around 9 to make church. We didn't want to get her dressed right away incase she had a blow out or spit up, so I wrapped her in a blanket and kept her happy while Austin took a shower. Here we are sitting on the couch nice and warm.

Then we got her dressed and a clean diaper. This dress was given to us by some family friends, Joy and Russel Schneider. It is a premie size so I wanted Macey to wear it while she still could. It was adorable!!!!!!!!!! She looked so cute in it and I got the best picture EVER of her in it. This was on her changing table before leaving.
This is one of my favorite pictures of her so far.. I think... She is so cute that I love almost every picture of her, but I love this one very much!!!! She is just a cutie pie for sure. She just looks like a doll, and people said that at church too!

After I got her ready, I had to get ready... so here we were sitting on the bed waiting for daddy to finish getting ready so he could take over and let mommy get ready! We had a nice system worked out! Although I think I ended up putting her in her bouncer since she was asleep while we finished up getting ready!!!

She was OUT before we left and of course when we put her in her car seat to leave she woke up and was screaming! On the way to church she settled down and was ok. She was excited to see Dee Dee when we arrived and she didn't waste anytime getting her out of the car seat and into her arms. She was awake but not too fussy. She was out before we finished singing the second song and was OUT until we put her back in the car seat to head to lunch!

We picked Olive Garden and she was pretty fussy the whole time. But Dee Dee enjoyed holding her anyway!!!!! All in all it was a good morning and I hope to take her to church often!!!
