Christmas at the Ranch

I was so glad Austin could get off work so we could go down to the ranch for Christmas! We had a blast!!! We headed down on Christmas day (Sunday) and got in around 11:30pm. Brittany and Mamaw were anxiously awaiting our arrival and Brittany didn't waste anytime holding her! After lots of crying, Toddy woke up and came to see her just in time to feed her a bottle. I am so glad we didn't wake the whole house; she was getting pretty loud! After some short visiting, we all headed to bed! Macey went down in a pack and play which was her first time sleeping in one of those. She had slept the entire 3 hour drive and I was worried that she wouldn't go down after such a deep sleep nap.. but she did! She was up the next morning around 7:15 am. We handed her off after she ate breakfast and it was back to bed for me! Austin got in the shower and then we all had breakfast.. Papaw's yummy breakfast casserole. After I got a shower, we got Macey ready to head down to the ranch.

When we got down to the ranch house, we all just hung out for a little bit before grabbing a bite to eat. I had barely eaten any of my lunch when they called for stockings! Since Macey is so little I had to hold her! She was the youngest cousin there!

After the kids do stockings, it is time for the adults to have some fun. We do an exchange where you can steal and switch presents; it usually gets pretty interesting. The theme of this year (I guess thats what you can call it) was that Andrew (Brittany's boyfriend) was a "virgin" because it was his first Christmas at the Ranch. Everyone was giving him a hard time but it's all fun and games!!!! He took it well!!! After the adult exchange, the boys (and usually me too) head out for the afternoon hunt.

Once we got back to the house in town (Mamaw and Papaw's house) and later the boys got home, we did our Macey Christmas. We did the same kind of exchange game and all ended up with great presents! Then we had the kids open presents and we did stockings from Mamaw and Papaw. It was our last Christmas so I was a little sad when it was over.

All in all it was a great trip! Macey did so good for such a long car ride and weekend away from home. She slept in the car there and back and in her pack and play two nights in a row! I cannot wait until next year at the ranch, we will be adding so many kids!!!! :)
