Packing Time

Well... While Austin is at work, I stay at home and juggle doing the housecleaning, dishes, clothes, and packing. Not to mention, taking Austin lunch. I LOVE taking him lunch!! I like going and seeing him work hard and to see the people he works with. It is so hard to pack this early because I have no clue what we are going to be using the next couple of days. I really wish I could just do it all and get it over with, but I know that isn't reality. We are heading to Temple on Friday and we are going to get all of our stuff out of storage and at my parents house. Our plan is while we unpack we are going to get rid of all the JUNK we don't need and we are hopefully heading back to Temple the next weekend to have a GARAGE SALE!!!!! I am excited because we could definitely use the extra money. I didn't ever think that money was going to be an issue for Austin and me, but it is. I guess in every situation there is. I have had to turn down my shopping ways and I have been very impressed with my progress! I hope someday I can go shopping again!

Our tenative schedule.... We have a lease at this new apartment place for three months. In two weeks, Ausitn is done with his training portion and could potentially have his own store after two weeks, which is SCARY and EXCITING all at the same time. In September he goes to Dallas for a week for the training portion he has to do there. Hopefully he will let me tag along. I don't think I could last a full week without him by my side. We will see what happens as it comes closer and closer.

Austin and his manager (Andy) at the store he is currently at have some sort of basketball rivalry between them and they are supposed to play soon. His manager is older, but I don't know how good he is. I know Austin is AWESOME at basketball so I hope it will be a good game. The loser of the basketball game is going to pay for dinner. His manager and wife want to take us out to eat and then this whole basketball thing came up, so they decided the wage would be dinner. We will have to do this soon because Andy's wife is pregnant and is due sometime in August. I don't want her to have her baby while I am trying to eat an expensive steak.... I will be eating steak because I have faith that Andy will be paying for dinner!

I ordered some pictures off the website of the photographer at the wedding and they turned out great!!! I love them. I got a collage frame from Target and thought they would look wonderful in it and then I could hang it on the wall. When the pictures came in today, I tried to start putting them in the collage and what happened was the picture slots in the frame are 4X6. The pictures from the website are 5X7 and I thought I could just cut them down to fit. Well that didn't work out to my advantage, most of the pictures are just too big, so now I guess I will just have to buy some frames and put them seperately through out our new apartment!!! Which is fine with me! Now I just have to print off pictures to put in the collage.....

Sickness....

It has been a crazy few days in the Brent's lives. Lets go back to this weekend. The wedding was soo much fun!! Austin noticed at dinner his meat was a little red, and didn't eat much of it. The reception lasted until late that night and when we went up to the room after Rocco and Kelly left we decided we were hungry and wanted to go for a drive. We went to Whataburger (at that time it was the only thing open!) and Austin noticed again that his burger was pretty red on the inside and didn't eat it. Early Sunday morning, probably around 3 or 4, Austin was up in the bathroom throwing up. We just thought it was the bad food he had eaten. We slept in that morning and then got up in time to check out at 12, which we were early. We checked out around 11 and hit the road driving. Austin didn't feel great and he started sneezing and having a runny nose, but he drove the whole way home. Early Monday morning, we got up for the day. Austin had to be at work at 7:30. He felt fine, no problems at work or anything. When he got home from work, he said he wasn't feeling great and we just thought it was the allergies from Houston. We went to the Round Rock Express game this night and he just sneezed throught the game but gradually got worse towards the end of the game and on the drive home. On the way, we stopped at a Walgreens to get some allergy medicine since we thought thats all it was. When we got home he got really cold and we took his temperature and it was at 100.3. We got him in warm clothes and went to bed.

The next morning, Tuesday, he got up and ready for work. When he got home he said he felt fine all day until about the last hour at work. He again was cold when he got inside and his temperature was at 100.5 so we gave him a hot bath. Then back to the couch he went for the night. Wednesday morning comes along and he was not feeling great. We took his temperature and it was at 102 and I told him he cannot go to work with a temperature and feeling so weak. He had been feeling weak and achy all three days. He called into work and his manager told him to go see a doctor. To the doctor we went! He said that Austin had an upper respritory virus... I think thats what it was.... Anyways... We got some cough medicine and I had been coughing and sniffling too, so we were sharing medicine!

Yesterday morning, we got up and Austin hopped in the shower. When he got out he came to talk to me. He told me that every little thing took so much effort and he was really weak. He looked white in the face. Again he called he manager and asked to have the day off. I was feeling pretty bad by this point too, so we just laid around and watched TV and taking cough medicine every 4-6 hours. This morning, we both woke up feeling good enough to face the day. He went to work, and I did my wifey duties of washing laundry, washing sheets, and washing dishes. After all this, I had to drive to Temple and back to pick up my prescription. While in town, I went to Petco (and took Mia inside!!!) and dropped some paint off at my parent's house. Austin had to stay an extra hour at work , but I got to relax for a little bit before he got home! I missed him so much since we had spent the two whole days before together, but it was so good to see him when he got home. I can hardly keep my eyes off him. I can't wait to spend two more days relaxing with him. Although our company (HB, Lynnsay, Jordan, Justin) couldn't come, it will work out another weekend!! We are moving next weekend, wish us luck!

Three Weekends in a row... BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Wow, I cannot believe how fast time is flying! Austin and I have almost been married two months now. It feels like it was just last week.... Anyways, speaking of weddings... We had our last cousin wedding for this wedding season. Rocco and Kelly got hitched this weekend and it was a BLAST. We has such a good time and it was nice to catch up with all the family since we hadn't seen them since out wedding...... We did a little bit of dancing.... some by myself because the DJ told everyone on the floor to grab someone not on the floor to come dance, and of couse Kelly decides to find me!!!!! It was fun dancing with her and all the little (well they used to be little, now they aren't....) cousins. After dancing, and running out of beer twice, we were getting beers from the bar at the hotel, which was really nice by the way. We stood in the back and talked to cousins and it was funny and wonderful all at the same time. Kelly and Rocco are on their way to Aruba! I hope they have a great time!

Tonight, Austin and I are headed to Round Rock to watch an Express game! We are so excited about it... We haven't been there since Jonathan was playing baseball there... Which are good memories in it self! I hope they win, and I hope it is fun. It looks like it might rain and I am hoping if it does, it does it today and not tonight.

This weekend coming up should be an adventure too! Jordan, Justin, HB, and Lynnsay are coming to Austin to see us!!!! I can't wait... We have to think of some fun stuff for us to do. I know Austin is a big town, but we just moved here and we aren't super familiar with the area just yet. Im sure even if we just sit around and make it to the pool just once, it will be fun. I can't wait to see all of them. It has been way too long and I miss them like crazy! I cannot wait to hear about Lynnsays trip, see HBs road rash from his accident, and hear about the Dawkins 4th of July in South Carolina!!!!!

THEN.... the next weekend, the first weekend in August, WE ARE MOVING AGAIN! We are getting a less expensive apartment. We are trying to save money and the place we are now, there is no money left over to save.... But we are staying in the same area because we love it so much! Ill keep everyone up to speed on this as it approaches!!!!

New Apartments

Well, yesterday I got on the look for new apartments train. I feel like there are many out there just like me so it is kind of weird. Anyways! We are looking for new apartments because with Austins job, he will be done with training in about a month maybe and he says that if he requests that he wants to stay in the Austin area then it is possible. It might take a while but either way he will continue working at the store he is in now for probably about 6 more months until a spot in an Austin store opens. Bottom line is..... it looks like we are staying in Austin! I think I wasnt excted at first because I am not in love with Austin. I am learning my way around but it is still all new to me. We love the place we are in, the location and the actual apartment, it is just too expensive since it is corporate housing. But I am looking in basically the same location because it is a really good one and we love it. Now all we need is a boat! We are so close to Lake Travis....

Last night around 4, I went to happy hour with a friend of ours and I had this really good drink. It was called The Streak and it tasted like vanilla coke. Very yummy..... Austin came and met us after he got off work and we just hung out and talked. I dont know if because of all the drinks or if it was just last night, but I had a hard time sleeping. I kept waking up and it was not fun at all. I got up one time around 3:45am and I heard a bunch of commotion so I looked out the window. Now when we were getting into bed around 11:15pm there was a UHAUL truck and some people were unloaded it. So the noise I heard this morning was the UHAUL being towed. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. On the other hand it was annoying because all this was happening right outside our window. Austin of course slept through the whole thing, but I was glad because he is the one that has to go to work in the mornings.

Oh, Auntie Marilyn wanted to see a picture of short Mia, so here is it!!!

Well, Well, Well.....

How long has it been since I have written to all my friends and family??? Lets just say TOO long!! But no worries, I am officially back!

It has been so crazy, I don't even know where to start. I guess I will just go backwards.

This weekend was the fourth of July and we had such a good time in Spring. It was our first fourth of July as a married couple and it was good to do something different for once. Our friends and their neighbors bought over 4,000 dollars worth of fireworks and it was so much fun to see so many fireworks go off right in front of your eyes. I forgot that my camera had a firework setting, so I only got one picture with that setting but the others turned out ok. We got in late Sunday night from Houston and we got to sleep in Monday because Austin had the day off!!!! He is back to work today and I am home watching the Michael Jackson Memorial on TV.. pretty boring if you ask me.

Back to Austin and work. For those of you who don't already know, he is working at Sherwin Williams on Burnet street in Austin, TX. We live in a corporate housing place off Old Spicewood Springs Rd. and we love it. It is in a great location and we are slowly learning our way around the town. We have been living here since the Sunday after the honeymoon because Austin was supposed to start work on that Monday but when he got to work they realized that they did the background check on the wrong Austin so he couldn't go back to work until that was done. It took a while but he finally got to go back to work that next Friday. He has really liked it. Now that he has been working for a while, he is getting to do more assistant manager jobs, like make deliveries, close up the store, and pay bills....

Mia has been getting so big! She still weights 3.5 pounds, but now that her hair is cut short, she looks little and her legs look really long!!! She is too cute. Everyone this weekend loved her and that makes me so happy! I hope that the short hair is helping with the heat, otherwise I cut her hair short for no reason! She is getting so much better with the potty training and eating and drinking. We can fill up her bowl with water and food and she will now just eat and drink when she wants instead of drinking all the water as fast as she can which is what she used to do! So we are learning.....

Well, this is all I can think of now. I hope this sort of makes up for all the time I didn't write. And I will write again soon!!!!
