Almost one month old!

Tomorrow Macey will be one month old!!! I cannot believe it!!! She is already growing up so fast.

I am getting super nervous... we are going to give sleeping in her crib a shot starting FRIDAY!!!! I am excited, but scared and sad too. It just makes the whole growing up process seem so real! I will keep everyone posted on how Macey does and how mommy does too!! On the other hand, I get to use my way cool video monitor!!! Can't wait! Here goes nothing!

Week Three

Macey was three weeks old on Thanksgiving and is still the sweetest baby ever! She is so much fun to spend everyday with! We definitely have some what of a schedule and have been doing really good while daddy is at work! I am getting the hang of this whole mommy thing. I am a pro now! We haven't really been doing much lately.. we decorated for Christmas on Saturday and I love the feeling around the house now!!! Today, Sunday, we took out little girl out for her first shopping trip (of many) to Target! She got three new outfits, some hangers, two new pacis and a new bath tub! She did good! We had her in the carseat and in the buggy, but she got fussy so Austin held her and she fell asleep, then I held her and she stayed asleep! Austin has decided that Macey is a chick magnet for him.... semi scary?!?! haha... anyways, it was fun and I hope Macey and I make Target a weekly deal :)

Its Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It is definitely looking like Christmas at the Brent house. I have only taken pictures of the tree, so I will take pictures of the rest of the decorations and put them up soon. Here is our beautiful tree and my favorite ornament!!! I cannot believe it is our first Christmas with a baby! This year will be fun, but I have a feeling the years to come will be extra fun with a baby in two! Love this time of year!

More Thanksgiving!

With this being Macey's first THANKSGIVING... and holiday at that... we of course had to have more than on! On Wednesday night after Austin got off of work, we headed down to Whitney to have Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving day with Austin's family. We had a great time just relaxing and eating and watching football. It was super nice to basically have a day off as a mom. Our routine was go watch football in the office while Polly held Macey. She would call us when Macey got fussy. I would go inside, change her, feed her, and give her back to Polly! Then it was back outside for me! This lasted all day until it was time for us to head home! It was really nice. I even got to sleep in that morning too! Love that family!

Thanksgiving 2011

Macey's first holiday of her life is THANKSGIVING. I think this is very appropriate because we are so very Thankful for her!!! She is such a sweet baby and we love her so much. We celebrated Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family yesterday (Saturday, 11/19) and we definitely had a blast!! It was fun having everyone ohh and ahh over my baby girl! I know it is wierd for many of them to see me with a baby, and let me tell you.. it is still weird to me!! I don't feel old enough to have a baby! All of these pictures are borrowed from my mom and cousin Mary Beth, but I had other things on my mind besides taking pictures :)

Two Weeks.... already!

I cannot believe Macey is already two weeks old! She is so much fun to have around and I cannot wait to see how much she changes in the coming weeks! Such an angel :)

She has been spoiling us by already sleeping about 6 hours a night, more like morning.. but it works! Our little routine has been... Feed her around 10, let her sleep until sometime between 2 and 4, then feed her again, swaddle her, put her in her bouncer and she sleeps until between 9-11am. It has been really nice! She has been eating about 6 times a day. I still keep track and write down everytime she eats and what is in her diaper everytime we change her. Guess it's good so we know exactly how many times she eats and for how long. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to within these first two weeks of Macey's life!

Since we have been home

Since we have been home, she has had a couple of visitors! And done lots of new things!!

Here is Tyler with Macey. Since he had school and couldn't be at the hospital, he came down and stayed with us. He loved getting to spend time with Macey and he kept Mia calm too, so we really appreciate the help!

Finally we got a picture of Austin's dad holding her. He is more of a potty trained, talking baby guy. He looks so proud of her!!!!

On Monday, we had to go to the dr. for them to check out the progression of her Jaundice. Everything checked out great. She had to get a prick in her heel and they had to take some blood. She did so good!!!!! And I did too! They called back and said her numbers were still high so we are going back tomorrow for her newborn check up and to check again on her Jaundice. Wish us luck that she doesn't have to have treatment : /

Friday night and Coming Home...

Friday night after having visitors, we had some time for just the three of us. We got Macey looking cute in her bassinet and then we took a last walk around the hospital! I love showing her off around there, I know she was the cutest one there :)

Saturday Morning, the nurses were in our room up and early to get us discharged from the hospital. They all knew we were ready to get home (we kept telling them for the A&M football game) and so they did everything they could to get us out of there!!!! Mom came up to dress Macey in her going home outfit. Believe it or not, Macey a 7lb baby and I being a 10lb baby both fit into this dress! Doesn't she just look like a doll! She was very good for her photoshoot!!!
