Measurements

I weighed and measured Macey today. She is a whopping 13lbs and 24 inches long. Now riddle me this... I obviously am confused on this whole age thing. So there are 52 weeks in a year..... that is 4.333333333 weeks per month. I have been calculating Macey's age by every 4 weeks. Every 4 weeks I said it was that many months... in this case her 12th week was last thursday. I have been saying she just turned three months old. Now my parents tried to explain to me today that every 3rd in each month she is that month.... in this case on Feb 3 (Friday) she will be 3 months old. I don't know what is right, I just may not be that smart... but every 4th week sounds right to me. To me 12 weeks = 3 months...

ANYWAYS!!!! These days you can tell the Macey is ready to sit up on her own. When you have her sitting or laying down, she lifts her head up as if she were going to sit up but it's like her shoulders don't follow! Poor thing.... I told her not to rush it, we are enjoying her being little and needing everything from us!

I got a manicure and pedicure today!!! I felt like a whole new person! I got the royal treatment. Massage and lotion on my arms, wax on my feet, and a massage and lotion and hot towels on my legs!!! I was definitely in heaven for that entire 45 minutes!!! Something I definitely needed.

As you can see in the picture above, I got a holder for Macey so I can carry her around hands free! It is very awesome and I cannot wait to use it somewhere besides at the house!!!! She is so cute in it, and I think it will be better too when she is bigger so it doesn't swallow her up!

I don't know if you saw on facebook or not... but Macey almost slept 13 hours last night. We definitely have quite the sleeper on our hands. We put her down at 10pm and I went in her room around 10:30am and she was still dead asleep! I finally checked back in on her around 10:40ish and her eyes were open. She wasn't crying or anything, but awake and kicking around. I just cannot believe that she sleeps so good!!! I absolutely love getting my sleep!!!!

Lastly, I have a prayer request. My sister had a full historectomy today and was in a lot of pain after surgery. Last time I checked in with my mom, she was just tired but pain was ok. She will hopefully go home tomorrow late morning. She has to be able to get up and walk and use the bathroom and then she can go home. Austin has a training in the morning, but doesn't have to work when he gets back to town, so we are going to get some flowers and go visit her at home. I hope she will be better tomorrow and I hope she has a speedy recovery (4 to 6 week recovery time). Thanks for praying for her.

Three Months Old

So today, just three months ago, this sweet little girl was born!!! This has definitely been the fastest three months ever!!! I cannot believe she has stolen our hearts in just three months.

I can't believe the things she is doing these days! She talks up a storm. She talked for hours this morning. I wish I knew what all she was saying. She is slobering like crazy!!! If bibs were a little more cute, I would probably keep one on her 24/7. Her outfits cover in bubbles is better then a bib.... She smiles a lot these days... at me, at Austin, at Mia, at the fan, at the TV... you name it!!! She hasn't done much rolling over these days, I'll have to stay on top of that. Sometimes you can tell she wants to sit up so bad, she just isn't quite ready for that yet. She is definitely a cutie!!! She is also a GREAT sleeper. We moved her bedtime from 11 to 10pm thinking that she might wake up a little earlier, but she ususally sleeps until 9 or after. I rolled over at 9:40 the other morning and she was still asleep!!!! I hope she stays like this forever! It is so nice to have a great sleeper because I love to sleep too!!!! I am having quite the diaper issue these days too. Her newborn diapers are getting too snug, but 1s are HUGE on her!!!! I need like a newborn and a half size. I think I am down to only 3 newborn diapers left in the house, so I will just stick to the 1s no matter how much I hate them! haha I know they will fit one day and mom says better big than too small. I think they look funny when they are too big... see what I mean, just such a crisis!!! :)

I don't think I left anything out.... I am going to go weigh her and measure her later today or tomorrow, so when I do, I will post about it. She has been going to the dr. every two months, so the month I don't go, I have NO clue of her stats. Guess we will improvise... and I hope that is the right word.... : /

Macey loves each and every one of you guys that reads this. If she could say thanks for keeping up with her life, she would, but we aren't quite to the "real" talking yet!!!

Lynnsay and Mom came over (we needed all hands on deck) for Macey's first photoshoot... unless you count at birth! She did pretty good for about an hour and it was downhill from there. But I definitely think we got some good ones. Here are a couple that she put on facebook and they are to die for!!!!!!!!!!! I think she did a good job and I think she looks GEORGOUS for sure! Hope you love them as much as we do!!!! Love Miss Macey!!!

New Church, New Outfit

Today, Sunday the 22nd of January, we visited the church that HB and Lynnsay attend. It is called Vista and it is a bible church that meets at CTCS. We really enjoyed it. It is a very young crowd and they have a hip preacher that throws in little jokes when he talks. We liked it. I don't know if we will keep going there or try others, but it was nice to go and check it out. Macey did alright. Austin had to get up twice and walk her around and BOTH times she fell asleep on him. I had this outfit on her and it was her first time wearing it so OF COURSE I had to get pictures in it. It was a georgous day and we had the blinds open so the sun could shine on her.

We were supposed to do part TWO of our photoshoot with Aunt Loopy, but it didn't work out, so Mommy did a little one... I am definitely not as good as Lynnsay, but it will do :)

Dee Dee and Toddy's Farm

Macey and I LOVE going out to the farm. We usually check out the house, cows, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. On Saturday we were out there pretty much ALL DAY! It was a pretty day, again a little windy, but the sun was super warm. While we were inside talking, Toddy took Macey outside to see the cows!!! I caught the sweet moment on my camera!

So it was a BEAUTIFUL day on Friday. I decided to take Macey and Mia outside for a little fresh air! Macey played on her play mat (a little back time and a little tummy time) and Mia played fetch. It was a little windy, but it felt amazing! Macey still had her cute aggie getup on, so I just threw a jacket on her. And don't worry, I had a blanket too. She kicked and listened to all the noises around us. I think we will have to do this AT LEAST once a week. Especially when the weather gets super nice before the brutally hot summer :) I also have to say, she is GEORGOUS outside. I don't know if it's the lighting or what, but OMG... so pretty!!!

Little Aggie

I am not sure if y'all are aware, but we have an aggie CLASS OF 2034 on our hands!!!! I cannot wait to teach this precious baby about Aggieland. She is going to be the cutest aggie ever!!!! I think she is already a hardcore aggie, she just doesnt know it yet! :)

Whitney Trip

On Monday, we headed to Whitney. When we were driving from Georgetown to the Dawkins on Sunday, Austin's mom called and asked if we would come down. Of course we said yes!!! We had a nice relaxing day playing with Momaw and Popaw.

We had a great weekend all together!! Busy Saturday, Sunday and Monday.... definitely did NOTHING on Tuesday. We relaxed all day to recover! We had plans for today, but I am glad we didn't. I think we are still exhausted from the weekend!!! I hope we are better by tomorrow.... another busy weekend ahead! Lynnsay will be taking pictures of us this weekend and I cannot wait!! Macey is going to be so cute and I cannot wait to see how they turn out!!!
