Easter weekend in Whitney

The Friday before Easter, Austin opened at the store so we got to head to Whitney early! It was such a beautiful drive (we didn't take I35) becuase of all the bluebonnets. We were on 35 until Troy but it was starting to get crowded so we exited off and went on some backroad to 317. We were on a pretty curvy road and when we turned one corner it was literally a SEA OF BLUE. It was a field of bluebonnets and they were blowing in the breeze. It was absolutely breathtaking. I was so tempted to make Austin turn around so I could just take a picture of it (although it wouldn't have done it justice).

We made it there just in time for dinner and spending some family time together. Saturday was busy fun... Austin woke up super early and got started on the taxes with his dad. I woke up early too and joined them outside. When I went back to the house to check on Macey, everyone else was awake. We went and took a few pictures of Macey in the bluebonnets and she spent some time with Momaw before she had to go to choir practice. While she was gone, I soaked up some sun and Macey was in her swing enjoying the pretty weather. It was such a nice weekend that I just couldn't get enough of the outdoors!! When Polly got back we ate lunch and then took family pictures in the bluebonnets. We then sat on the patio and just talked. It was so nice to be outside and spend some much needed family time while Macey did a little more swinging!!

We always enjoy being in Whitney, and this was no disappointment. We had a great time and I cannot wait until we can go out on the lake!!!
